PD means “pupillary distance,” which is the distance between the center of each pupil. This measurement is used to determine where you look through the lens of your glasses. This is an extremely important number because it measures the distance between your eyes to ensure your pupils match up with the optical center of your lenses. If there is no PD on your prescription, checking with your eye doctor is recommended.

Please note that the average PD is between 54 and 78mm. This might be slightly different compared to practical measurements. Please be sure to measure your PD at least twice to get accurate results.

Our Virtual Try On Measure PD with Optician-Level Accuracy! 😎 Allows you to try before tour buy

Our advanced Virtual Try on automatically measures your PD with all new Optician-Level Accuracy. New Enhanced Accuracy: Our PD measurement now achieves ±1.5 mm precision, ensuring an optimal fit.

We do not accept vision insurance, but our pricing is often comparable to what you might pay with insurance at traditional eyeglass stores and eye doctor offices. This is common for many eyewear businesses, based on the high quality of our frames and lenses, we are able to provide an exceptional experience and product at a competitive price. You may can be reimbursed for both optical frames and prescription lens or just the optical frames under your insurance.

You make take your itemized receipt for all purchases and ask your insurance company for reimbursement. Here are some specific questions you can ask your insurance provider to determine your policy’s out-of-network benefits:

Does my policy cover prescription spectacle lenses (polycarbonate or high-index, single vision or progressive whichever you need) with (1) anti-scratch coating, (2) anti-reflective coating, (3) UV protection?

  • Is there a limit to this benefit?
  • How much?
  • Do I have a co-pay for glasses? If so, how much?
  • What is my frame allowance?
  • What is my prescription lens allowance in case I buy the frames online?

This misfit can affect your vision if the lenses are not properly aligned with your pupils (PD measurement). It is strongly encouraged to use the virtual try on to determine how the lens will look on your face. In addition be sure to review the product details and suggested face shape guide to help.

Pro tip: Look that the size current glasses you have and match those sizes to what you are looking for and with Liberated Eyewear. You can find the size composed of 3 sets of numbers on the inside of the leg of the frame. Be sure to use our size guide as well to help you pick out a frame that fits your face.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a pre-tax account that lets you set aside money for qualified healthcare expenses. Typically, you can sign up for an HSA when you sign up for a High Deductible Health Plan. These accounts are individually owned so the funds roll over each year and you can take them if you leave your job.

A Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) is an employer-offered benefit plan that lets you set aside money for qualified healthcare expenses. You can sign up for an FSA if your employer offers this option. It’s important to remember that FSA funds do not roll over at the end of the year (unless your employer allows it) and they immediately are returned to your employer if you leave your job. Spending with your pre-tax HSA/FSA funds helps you to save 30% to 50% on qualified health expenses. And we’re here to help you maximize your savings.

 Our Process

A CNC machine cuts a general frame shape from raw high quality materials.

Metal sheet is rolled to the correct thinness and the final shape is stamp cut or milled to the necessary size and shape. Metal frames are plated only after they are produced so it takes less time to start producing metal frames than it does acetate frames.

Our Eco-friendly sunglasses are made of recycled ocean plastic, recycled materials such as recycled aluminum. Lenses are precisely milled into their correct shape using a CNC machine.

Lenses are carefully mounted into the frame. Lens are made from a variety of quality materials to promote eye health and support vision performance. Our sunglasses offer UV 400 protection and can be made with high quality PC for impact resistance or nylon for a more sophisticated look.

Mutiple test are performed to ensure safety, durability and quality on both the lens and the frame.

Our unique trademarked logo is carefully applied by the most preferred techniques by trained and certified professionals. Our frames are then finished off with top notch Baking Compression and Polishing Techniques.

Each pair is sent for a final review, where the quality and lens is checked one last time inspection and multiple quality inspections and durability test are ran by our manufacturer prior to shipment and off they go!
