PD means “pupillary distance,” which is the distance between the center of each pupil. This measurement is used to determine where you look through the lens of your glasses. This is an extremely important number because it measures the distance between your eyes to ensure your pupils match up with the optical center of your lenses. If there is no PD on your prescription, checking with your eye doctor is recommended.

Please note that the average
PD is between 54 and 78mm. This might be slightly different compared to practical measurements. Please be sure to measure your PD at least twice to get accurate results.

Our advanced Virtual Try on
automatically measures your PD with over a 90% accuracy fitting, please be sure to match our PD with the PD provided by your optometrist.

We do not accept vision insurance, but our pricing is often comparable to what you
might pay with insurance at traditional eyeglass stores and eye doctor offices. This is common for many eyewear businesses, based on the high quality of our frames and lenses, we are able to provide an exceptional experience and
product at a competitive price.

You make take your itemized receipt for all purchases and ask your insurance company for reimbursement. Here are some specific questions you can ask your insurance provider to determine your policy’s out-of-network
benefits:

Does my policy cover prescription spectacle lenses (polycarbonate or high-index,
single vision or progressive whichever you need) with (1) anti-scratch coating, (2) anti-reflective coating, (3) UV protection?

Is there a limit to this benefit?

How much?

Do I have a co-pay for glasses? If so, how much?

What is my frame allowance?

Absolutely, our optic frame collection is created for that reason alone. You add your prescription or customize your lens in 2 simple steps: Simply upload a copy of a valid prescription and select your prescription and lens type. That’s it! It’s that simple.

My finished frames arrived, but they fit crooked or too high/low. What should I do? This misfit can affect your vision if the lenses are not properly aligned with your pupils (PD measurement). We recommend bringing them to your local optician for adjustment. Most are happy to do so. We now offer reimbursement for adjustments up to $15 on a case by case basis under our One Year Protection Policy.

 Our Process

A CNC machine cuts a general frame shape from raw high quality acetate, PC, and TR90 sheets.

Metal sheet is rolled to the correct thinness and the final shape is stamp cut or milled to the necessary size and shape. Metal frames are plated only after they are produced so it takes less time to start producing metal frames than it does acetate frames.

Our Eco-friendly sunglasses are made of recycled ocean plastic, recycled materials such as recycled aluminum. Lenses are precisely milled into their correct shape using a CNC machine.

Lenses are carefully mounted into the frame. Lens are made from a variety of quality materials to promote eye health and support vision performance. Our sunglasses offer UV 400 protection and can be made with high quality PC for impact resistance or nylon for a more sophisticated look.
